Reception of my very first manufactured PCBs

Today early in the morning I received the box with my very first(time in my life) professionally manufactured pcbs. So let solder ’em! shall we?

So I’ve to admit I can’t wait to do my first steps on the new AT90USB controller. Hopefully it won’t take too long till I manage it!

  1. I agree! I have ordered several self-designed PC boards and it is exciting to receive them, populate them, and get them operating. I use http://www.expresspcb.com for the design software and http://www.futurlec.com for production and find their charges very reasonable. Who do you use?

  2. I used a service especially reasonable in price for prototypers. I was charged 50 bucks plus tranport for a double sided chemically tinned 290×195 pcb panel with vias. No setup fees and the man helped me to configure design spark correctly for free! I could let him cut the panel into arbitrary pieces thus enabling me to put different boards on the pannel without additional cost!
